      The Australian Open is headed for Queensland's Gold Coast and we want you to be a part of it.

      In 2015 the Australian Open will be staged at various clubs throughout the Gold Coast region in what is an exciting relaunch of Bowls Australia's premier and richest event.

      • State and Territory qualifying has been replaced by open entry so by entering here now, you will secure a place in the Australian Open.
      • Event format: sectional rounds and knockout finals.
      • It is not just about bowls. Bring your friends and family for a holiday to enjoy everything the Gold Coast has to offer including world class theme parks to some of the best restaurants and night life.

      $225,000 worth of prize money is up for grabs and for the first time the Under 18 and Bowlers With a Disability categories will be playing for a slice of the prize pool in addition to those in the main draw of singles, pairs and fours.

        Out of curiosity, are any members from here heading to the Gold Coast for this event?

        Have you got your teams settled, have you sorted your accommodation etc. as time is running out to do your entries. I believe entries close early April and the feedback i am getting is accommodation is booking fast now it getting closer to the cut off time for entries.

        I will be heading North again and doing this first before making my way to tweed heads for the week after Australian Open. If anyone is interested in a catch up i'd be keen to do similar.
