Handicap events and club championships will soon be in full swing at Queanbeyan. So As I'm in Victoria over the weekend I decided to check out some of the events Victorian clubs participate in. My grandad plays for the ky valley view bowls club and the events he has won or finished runner up over the years is pretty impressive.

Last weekend was the conclusion of the handicap triples event with the team of Wayne Brownlie, David Caldwell and Nigel Philp taking out the final over Scott Dagwell's side 28-14 in a rain soaked match played at the Queanbeyan bowling club. The match was watched by both keen followers of the game and the younger generation with a quality game on display.
