Metro draw out today ... if 2015 is any indicator on which to rest one's confidence.

Impact would be the bowl I'd go for. No umpire would expect you to be any good with those chaps.

Re: Can you have too many State Titles?

That anyone chooses to play for money ahead of glory is another indictment on the 21st century trend towards monetary gratification.
The draw for state championship week events occurs well before...

Until the Victorian Government changes the discrimination law, there'll be no alteration to pennant bowls. Currently female-only competition is allowed in order to increase participation numbers. It...

    Re: Milestone Pins/badges or??

Better than badges or pins is to have the milestone number sown onto the side or back of a club cap. Then it's something they can wear with pride and keep off the UVs at the same time.
    The milestone...

    Re: Fusion vs Dreamline XG

I would be wary of selecting Fusion ahead of XG.
And you saying that the bowls were leaving a visible track in the tifdwarf tells me that it wasn't ideal test conditions.

    Re: Club or individual

The big killer to pennant is unavailability. In a perfect world all members would play every round, but that is never the case.
If a club has 64 players, it's not possible in July to know what the...

    Re: Club or individual

If you act like me, you can create a pennant opening for someone by withdrawing from selection.
In that respect, is it an individual helping the club?
  9. Re: Playing for two clubs(midweek tue and sat pennant)

The rule was changed recently. Your club can play at another club independent of your home club's pennant status ... but only if both clubs agree.
  10. Re: Playing for two clubs(midweek tue and sat pennant)

Yes. As long as player is an affiliated member of both clubs and both clubs agree.
The rules were relaxed this year.

    Re: Henselite dreamline XG

Exactly. Bowl shape is a major part of performance levels for most players.

I mostly use the hot breath on hand, works the same principle as wet microfibre cloth.
Or when it's cold and wet, the blocks of Bulldog grip is excellent. Rub a bit on the fingertips and Bob's...

    Re: Deni pairs

The tournament was once a great event, past tense.
It is understood that next year Deni will scrap the sections and go to an open draw with the use of the two clubs.
    That may help revive the...

    Re: Melton B.C 2015 / 16

It will be difficult to get into the four against Moonee Valley, Werribee, Deer Park, Glenroy, Altona and Essendon.

  17. Re: Any thoughts, agree with this guy or disagree.

Proving discrimination is difficult. It's not easy to prove any club isn't selecting pennant teams solely on the basis of merit.
Merit in bowls can often be hard to establish with little in the...
