I wouldn't necessarily say that the carpets are slower. I have found on the carpets that I have played on in Melbourne that bowls don't seem to turn as much as what they would on a similar paced grass. A few of our guys have the Greenmaster Power which are a very tight bowl on the carpet but they do seem to have a bit more turn on the grass.
Ive got powers, and on our carpet they tend to hold there line then swoop, much like Classic II's used to. The "grass" is similar to that which you take on the grass, but the line the bowl travels is different. Weighhted shots are also difficult because the bowl holds until the weight drops off. This sounds easy but every now and then one will just swoop early. :smile:
